Even a decade after the family matriarch, legendary and controversial artist Shim Sisun died, the entire family travel to Hawai`i to perform the traditional jesa rite in memory of Sisun. A complicated and hilarious road trip ensues as the family members retrace and remember Sisun’s life while also trying to make sense of their own. None of them will remain unchanged.
