Yang Shuang-Zi (b. 1984) is a pseudonym shared by twin sisters, meaning “twins” in Japanese. After the younger one died of cancer in 2015, the elder has continued writing and has published two novels and several other works, focusing on queer women who struggle to balance early 20th-century norms.
